The NSO(New Student 取向) fee covers all expenses for the orientation program. You will receive meals, a registration swag packet and a JSU T-Shirt. New Student 取向 is mandatory for all new students. NSO fees are non-refundable.
2024 New Student 取向 (NSO)
Our New Student 取向 provides important information that will help you begin your successful academic experience at Jackson State University. All newly admitted students must complete New Student 取向. Some learning outcomes you can expect for NSO includes:
- Jackson State University’s history, mission, vision, and purpose
- Jackson State’s policies that impact your student experience
- On-Campus resources to holistically support your transition into Jackson State University
- Important offices on campus that will provide support to your success at Jackson State University
- Articulate the role of your academic advisor
- Understand how we will register you for classes
- Prepare you for Welcome Week, Move-in Day, and your University Success course
